As a parish, Regina Coeli tries to offer Catechetical options to best meet the needs of every family. However, it is important to understand that the programs we offer are not all alike. While CCD, Family Catechesis and Catechesis of the Good Shepherd are all vibrant and solid ways to form your children in the faith, they are in and of themselves very different in nature. For example, Family Catechesis assists parents in embracing their role as the primary educators of their children's faith and in taking the lead in Faith Formation. Catechesis of the Good Shepherd offers a unique Montessori based atmosphere and requires a certain comportment of children that begins to take shape in Level I at the age of 3. CCD offers a more traditional option for families that follows a spiral textbook curriculum. Therefore, it is not advisable to switch from one program to another even at the onset of a new year. We have found that it is best for families to choose the model that will work best with their schedule and the needs of your children and make every effort to continue in that particular method of faith formation from year to year.
Registration for Faith Formation will be available beginning on July 1st.
