Jesus said: "I am the living bread that came down from heaven; if any one eats of this bread, he will live forever;...he who eats my flesh and drinks my blood has eternal life and...abides in me, and I in him' (Jn 6:51, 54, 56) CCC 1406.

Participating in thecelebration of theHoly Sacrifice of the Mass is the heart and summit of the spiritual life for Catholics. At Regina Coeli Parish children are traditionally prepared for the reception of FirstReconciliation and First Holy Communion by attending the Confraternity of Christian Doctrine (CCD), Catechesis of the Good Shepherd (CGS), Family Catechesis(FC), or Catholic school during their first and second grade years. Additional materials are provided to assist the family at home in the formation of their child for the sacraments. This material provides the family with a rich background for the sacraments. Retreat days are also made available to assist children in their immediate formation for FirstReconciliation and First Holy Communion.  Lasting memories are made during these retreat days that will be sure to enrich children and their parents for years to come.  Parents with older children, who have not received the traditional two years' formation, should contact the Parish Office for direction on how to proceed with their child's faith formation for reception of the sacraments.
